Running Shoes on Sale

The running brands that show up on Amazon.ca are the specialists: ASICS (Gel-Kayano, Gel-Nimbus, GT-2000, Novablast), Brooks (Ghost, Glycerin, Adrenaline GTS), Saucony (Ride, Guide, Endorphin), Hoka (Clifton, Bondi), New Balance (Fresh Foam 880 and 1080) and Mizuno Wave Rider, plus Nike Pegasus and adidas Adizero and Supernova. Trail shoes from Salomon and Merrell turn up alongside.

Buy for your stride, not the colour. Neutral shoes such as the Ghost, Clifton or Nimbus suit most runners; stability models such as the Adrenaline GTS, Kayano or Guide add support if you roll inward. Drop – the heel-to-toe height difference – ranges from about 4 to 12 mm, and a big switch can strain calves. Many runners size up half a size from casual shoes. For winter running, a lugged trail outsole or a GTX version grips slush better than a road racer.

Running-shoe prices follow model years more than holidays. When version 16 of a shoe becomes version 17, the old one gets cleared – often the best running shoes sale Canada sees all year. Prime Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday and Boxing Week add broader cuts on top.

Frequently discounted: the outgoing generation, launch colourways that didn't sell and mid-range daily trainers. Rarely discounted: carbon-plated racers and newly launched versions, which usually hold full price for months.

The discount shown here is not our own math: it is the difference between today's price and the list price the retailer itself displays. If there is no list price, we show no percentage – better no discount than an invented one. The page updates automatically; prices are rechecked regularly, and anything that is no longer reduced disappears instead of lingering as an expired deal.

Salewunder is funded by affiliate links: if you buy through a link here, we earn a commission. It does not change your price, and what gets listed is decided by the discount, not the commission.
