Women's Sneakers on Sale

The brands that turn up most often in a women's sneakers sale in Canada are the big names on Amazon.ca: Nike (Air Max, Court Vision), adidas (Grand Court, Stan Smith, Samba), New Balance (the 574 and 530), Converse Chuck Taylor All Star, Vans Old Skool, PUMA, Reebok Club C and Skechers, whose memory-foam walking styles are a staple. Lifestyle and court shoes dominate; performance models sit on the running page.

Sizing is where most returns start. Canadian retailers generally use US women's sizes, and a women's size usually sits about one and a half sizes above the men's equivalent – so a unisex Converse listed in men's sizes needs converting. Leather and suede uppers stretch a little; knit and canvas don't. Canvas won't stay dry through a Canadian winter, so if you'll wear a pair in slush, look for leather or a treated upper.

Prices move around Prime Day in July, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and Boxing Week after Christmas, traditionally one of the bigger footwear sale windows in Canada. Between those events, end-of-season clearance and the arrival of new colourways push last season's versions down.

What usually gets reduced: seasonal colourways, less common sizes and styles being phased out. What rarely does: core white or black versions of best-sellers and anything currently trending, which tend to hold their list price – so when one of those shows up in the women's sneakers sale here, it's worth a look.

The discount shown here is not our own math: it is the difference between today's price and the list price the retailer itself displays. If there is no list price, we show no percentage – better no discount than an invented one. The page updates automatically; prices are rechecked regularly, and anything that is no longer reduced disappears instead of lingering as an expired deal.
