ASICS deals

Running shoes are the heart of the ASICS range on Amazon.ca. The Gel-Kayano stability shoe and the Gel-Nimbus cushioned trainer are the flagship lines, each updated with a new numbered version every year, followed by the GT-2000 and GT-1000 stability models, the Gel-Cumulus neutral trainer, the lightweight Novablast and the Gel-Venture and Gel-Trabuco trail shoes. Around those sit court and lifestyle products: the Gel-Resolution and Gel-Dedicate for tennis, the Gel-Rocket for volleyball, the Netburner, and the retro Gel-Lyte III, Gel-1130, GT-2160 and Gel-Kayano 14 sneakers that have become fashion staples. Socks, running shorts, tights and the occasional jacket make up the rest.

Buying ASICS well is mostly about the version number. Because each model is renumbered annually – Gel-Kayano 30, 31, 32 – the previous version is typically the one on sale while the newest sits at list price, and the difference between two adjacent versions is usually small. Check widths: ASICS offers many models in 2E (wide) and 4E (extra wide) for men and D (wide) for women, and Amazon.ca listings mix widths in the same size dropdown. ASICS runs on the narrow side for some people, so compare with a previous pair if you have one. The discount often applies only to certain colourways or sizes, so choose your size before reading the strikethrough. Verify that the listing is sold by Amazon.ca or an established shoe retailer.

ASICS markdowns appear around Prime Day in July, Black Friday and Cyber Monday and Boxing Week, but the most dependable trigger is a model update: when a new Kayano or Nimbus launches, the previous version is reduced across retailers.

Frequently reduced: the outgoing version of every running line, bright colourways, less common sizes and the trail and volleyball ranges. Rarely reduced: the current Kayano and Nimbus in black or white, and the retro Gel-Lyte and Gel-Kayano 14 sneakers in popular colours.

The discount shown here is not our own math: it is the difference between today's price and the list price the retailer itself displays. If there is no list price, we show no percentage – better no discount than an invented one. The page updates automatically; prices are rechecked regularly, and anything that is no longer reduced disappears instead of lingering as an expired deal.
