Yankee Candle deals

On Amazon.ca, Yankee Candle is mostly sold through its jar range: the Classic Large Jar and Medium Jar, the smaller tumblers, and the Signature collection with its wider glass and lid. Around them sit votive samplers, wax melts for electric or tea-light warmers, reed diffusers and the Car Jar air fresheners. Scents rotate with the seasons, but staples such as Pink Sands, Clean Cotton, Midsummer's Night and Balsam & Cedar come back year after year.

The number worth checking before you buy is the burn time printed on each listing, which tells you more about value than the sticker price. Trim the wick to about a quarter inch before every burn and let the first burn run until the wax is melted to the edge of the jar; that prevents tunnelling. Buy from Amazon itself or the brand's own storefront where you can, because candles sold by unknown third-party sellers are harder to return.

Scented candles are seasonal stock. Prices usually move in the run-up to Black Friday and through the Christmas shopping weeks, then again during Boxing Week, when holiday scents and gift sets get cleared. Prime Day in July brings a smaller wave, mostly on large jars in core fragrances.

What tends to get reduced: holiday and limited-edition scents once their season ends, gift sets, and individual sizes of a fragrance being phased out. The core scents in the Large Jar format are discounted less often, and those deals rarely last long.
