Sorel began in Canada, and its Amazon.ca range is built around winter. The Caribou and the 1964 Pac are the classic felt-lined pac boots, the Joan of Arctic and Tofino are the women's mainstays, the Whitney and Explorer lines cover lighter winter wear, and the Kinetic and Out N About collections stretch the brand into sneakers and casual boots. Kids' versions of the Flurry and Yoot Pac are common, and there are also slippers and the Caribou-style Cheyanne for men. Colours and sizes on any given day are patchy, since much of the stock comes from marketplace sellers alongside Amazon.ca and Sorel's own store.
Buying tips: sizing is the main thing to get right. The Caribou and the 1964 Pac have a thick felt liner and are widely reported to run large, so many buyers go down a half or full size, while the Joan of Arctic is closer to true size. Read the recent reviews on the exact listing you are considering. Reductions are almost always confined to particular sizes and colours, so open the card and confirm your size carries the discount. Check the temperature rating in the listing, because a lighter Whitney at a good price is not a substitute for a Caribou at -40. With marketplace sellers, look at the seller's rating and return policy before you buy a winter boot in October.
Timing: end of season is the reliable window. From late February through March, Amazon.ca clears winter boots, and Boxing Week from December 26 often brings the first serious reductions of the winter. Black Friday and Cyber Monday tend to feature a few core styles, and Prime Day in July is the odd moment when winter boots turn up cheaply because nobody is looking for them. When Sorel updates a model, the outgoing version is cleared over the following season.
What gets reduced: previous-season colours, kids' boots and the fashion-leaning Kinetic styles are reduced most often. The Caribou in classic buff and the black Joan of Arctic in common sizes are rarely marked down much before spring.
The discount shown here is not our own math: it is the difference between today's price and the list price the retailer itself displays. If there is no list price, we show no percentage – better no discount than an invented one. The page updates automatically; prices are rechecked regularly, and anything that is no longer reduced disappears instead of lingering as an expired deal.
