LEGO deals

The LEGO range on Amazon.ca is mostly boxed sets: City, Friends and Technic, the licensed themes such as Star Wars and Harry Potter, the Creator 3-in-1 boxes, Duplo for the youngest builders, and the large Icons and Botanicals models aimed at adults. Which of those are actually reduced changes from one day to the next, and this page only reflects the current state.

A useful habit with LEGO is to judge a set by its price per piece rather than by the headline reduction. Around ten cents a piece has long been the rough yardstick, and licensed sets rarely fall below it. Sets nearing the end of their production run are the exception worth watching: once a set is retiring it tends to climb rather than fall, so a reduction there is worth more than the same reduction on a set that has just launched.

In Canada the toy calendar leans heavily on the last quarter. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the deepest window for LEGO, Amazon's October event warms it up, and Boxing Day into Boxing Week and the January clearance moves whatever is left after Christmas. Prime Day in July is the meaningful mid-year exception.

LEGO runs its own Canadian online shop with a sale section, and those reductions are separate from what appears here. On Amazon.ca the markdowns tend to land on sets that have been on the shelf for a year or more, on themes being refreshed with a new wave, and on the larger boxes that sell slowly at full price. The Canadian assortment is thinner than the American one, which is part of why reductions cluster on the older sets.

The discount shown here is not our own math: it is the difference between today's price and the list price the retailer itself displays. If there is no list price, we show no percentage – better no discount than an invented one. The page updates automatically; prices are rechecked regularly, and anything that is no longer reduced disappears instead of lingering as an expired deal.

Salewunder is funded by affiliate links: if you buy through a link here, we earn a commission. It does not change your price, and what gets listed is decided by the discount, not the commission.
