Running Shoes on Sale

Hoka (Clifton, Bondi, Arahi), Brooks (Ghost, Glycerin, Adrenaline GTS) and ASICS (Gel-Kayano, Gel-Nimbus, GT-2000, Gel-Cumulus) make up much of any running shoes sale on Amazon.com.au, joined by New Balance Fresh Foam, Saucony, Mizuno, Nike (Pegasus, Vomero) and adidas (Adizero, Supernova). For trails, Salomon and the Hoka Speedgoat appear too.

Fit first: leave about a thumb's width in front of your longest toe, since feet swell on long runs – more so in Australian heat. Choose neutral or stability by how your foot lands, and cushioning by distance: max-cushion shoes like the Bondi, Nimbus or Glycerin for long, easy kilometres, lighter and firmer ones for speed. Mesh breathes well but lets dust in on trails, where a gusseted tongue helps. Expect roughly 500 to 800 km from a pair.

Two local peaks matter most: EOFY in June and Boxing Day, with Prime Day in July and Black Friday and Cyber Monday in between. For running shoes the bigger driver is the model cycle – many popular models are updated roughly once a year, and the outgoing version is cleared when that happens.

Most often in a running shoes sale: last year's version, less popular colours and mid-priced daily trainers. Seldom: brand-new releases and premium carbon-plated racers, which usually keep their list price for months after launch.

The discount shown here is not our own math: it is the difference between today's price and the list price the retailer itself displays. If there is no list price, we show no percentage – better no discount than an invented one. The page updates automatically; prices are rechecked regularly, and anything that is no longer reduced disappears instead of lingering as an expired deal.

Salewunder is funded by affiliate links: if you buy through a link here, we earn a commission. It does not change your price, and what gets listed is decided by the discount, not the commission.
