Garmin's Australian range spans a lot of ground: the Forerunner running watches, the rugged Instinct and the premium Fenix and Epix multisport models, the lifestyle-leaning Venu and vivoactive, Edge cycling computers, dash cams, marine and fishfinder units, and satellite communicators. Only a slice of that is discounted at any given time, and this page reflects that slice as it stands today.

The genuinely useful thing about Garmin is that older watches keep getting firmware updates for years, which makes a superseded generation far better value than it looks. Two things to check before buying one: the band width, since the quick-fit sizes are not interchangeable across families, and whether the specific model has the sensors you care about — multi-band GPS, mapping and health features vary considerably between tiers and between regions.

Watches and bike computers go cheapest around the EOFY sales in June, Amazon's Prime Day in July and the October event, and again over Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The other reliable trigger is not a date at all: when a new Forerunner or Fenix generation is announced, the outgoing model drops and stays down.

Discounts concentrate on run-out generations after a launch, on colour variants of a current model, and on bundles that include a chest strap or mount — the bundle is often where the saving actually is.
