Tech

Tech on Salewunder in the US means the things you plug in, wear, or carry: headphones and earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, Wi-Fi routers and mesh systems, portable SSDs and memory cards, GPS watches and fitness trackers, and the chargers, power banks, and cables that keep all of it running. Brands that show up here include Sony, Bose, JBL, Anker, Logitech, Garmin, SanDisk, and TP-Link. Which of them are discounted changes constantly, and the page shows only the current state.

The one thing an experienced tech buyer knows is that most of these products live on a model-year cycle. When the successor lands, the outgoing model gets its deepest, most durable markdown, and what it "loses" is usually small: a newer chip, a slightly better codec, an extra hour of battery, a new color. Before you pay for the current generation, look at what the previous one actually gives up. For storage, compare cost per terabyte rather than the sticker; for routers, check the Wi-Fi standard against what your devices can actually use.

For this category the US calendar has three windows that matter. Prime Day in July and Amazon's October event are built around headphones, speakers, storage, and smart-home gear. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the deepest of the year on the big-name audio and wearable brands. The post-Christmas clearance in January is quieter but clears the holiday bundles and the colors that did not sell.

What gets marked down, and why: outgoing generations as the replacement ships, bundle configurations (two-packs of chargers, speaker pairs) retailers over-ordered, and colorways being retired. Storage capacities move with component prices, so drops there are frequent and short. What rarely does: a flagship in the month it launches, and accessories that were already cheap to begin with.

The percentage on this page is not our own calculation: it is the difference between today's price and the reference price the retailer itself displays. Where no reference price is shown, we show no percentage, because no discount is better than an invented one. The page updates automatically, prices are rechecked regularly, and anything that is no longer reduced disappears rather than sitting here as an expired offer.
